Equidistant, a 1996 interactive mapping of Los Angeles, by Abeles in collaboration with

The Golden Mile is a 120-foot long photographic installation showing the entire main street of West Bromwich in the West Midlands, UK. The work shows both the east and west sides of the street and is a composite of 1506 images taken during four seasons of 2003, 2006, and 2009. The project was funded by The Public, West Midlands, and Arts Council England. It was exhibited at The Public, West Bromich; Yucun Art Museum, Suzhou, China; Syo Gallery, Daegu, South Korea; Torrance Museum, CA; Long Beach City College Art Gallery, CA

Lichen Hunt is a pamphlet created to encourage ridership on Bus Route 206 in Boulder, Colorado. And, Particulates, is a book about the Smog Collector project with 80 middle schoolers. These were created for the Abeles project/exhibition, the interconnectedness of things, commissioned by EcoArts Connections, and in collaboration with atmospheric scientists, emissions specialists, lichenologists, transportation professionals, middle and high school students. Collaborating organizations included Envirotest – Air Care Colorado, Manhattan Middle School, and Spark: UCAR: Science Education at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (2012).
